CorpsAfrica is a non-profit organization that recruits and places African graduates in remote, high-poverty communities. Prior to a year long site placement, CorpsAfrica volunteers complete four weeks of experiential training in order to be adequately equipped and empowered to succeed. Volunteers earn trust and gain better understanding through living in the communities which they serve. They engage people in conversations and facilitate community meetings meant to identify and address complex needs in education, health, small business development, urban planning, agriculture, the environment, etc. CorpsAfrica’s programs initiate and facilitate sustainable projects that fulfill key needs in community development and whose impactful successes can be carefully measured.

I first became involved with CorpsAfrica at the start of 2019 when I served as a special event committee member on a New York City based advisory board. Together, we hosted events for private donors, corporate sponsors, professional athletes, and international diplomats. I have also advised on partner relations with the National Basketball Association (NBA), NBA Cares, and NBA Africa. My involvement with corporate partnerships evolved over time into work with creating foundation partnerships. I have worked directly with the Founder and CEO to outline various program, fundraising, and advocacy strategies.
